So I am a Canadian… in case you have just joined me and not read up about me. I was born and raised in Canada but have always felt some kinship towards OUR neighbors to the south. I admit I have viewed an immeasurable amount of television in my life. I don’t want to sound cliche but I am one of those kids who is partially raised by TV, on account I have watched so much. 85% of the television in Canada is American programming, even more if you have cable in your living room. For this reason I feel tied subconsciously to the good ol’ U.S. of A! My first job as a temp I anwswered phones at a corporate Canadian company that branched out to America and would interact on the phone with Americans. One time a fellow from Chicago called and asked “Where are you located exactly?” When I told him Toronto, Canada he gasped “But you have such an Amercian accent!” he exclaimed. I giggled and thought to myself, it HAD to be because of my exposure to American culture through hours upon hours of TV.  With the recent state of America and the ongoing debate on Public Health Care, I feel I must give my opinion on the matter and tell my friends down there what I believe….
Our health care system isn’t prefect… but we live without the worry that any small sickness or accident is going to cost us our financial stability.  When I read articles like this: UFC’s Lesnar berates Canadian health care as Third World

I feel bad… because his money couldn’t buy him immediate results he believes we are a country with 3rd world care. Does Mr. Lesnar forget that there are people in the US who can’t afford to get testing to diagnose the problem he has and suffer in pain. In Canada we all pay by way of taxes for ALL people to get MOST needed health care. This means I live my life without the worry of a sudden illness causing me to become bankrupt. I live knowing that my parents are in the same boat…
